i'd love sky to take over the broadcasting of the TDF at least we would see some cycling from start to finish, decent analysis and great camera angles and footage. it would bring the tdf upto a whole new level, like they have done for the masters golf and the ryder cup.

yup i'm a sky fanboy, cause they are good at what they do - EVEN the cycling team do an half decent job too

much of the coverage is down to the host broadcaster. for example the other day Eurosport spent 40 odd minutes waiting for pictures of anything other than the finish in the Volta because the hosts weren't broadcasting.

That would be the same whether Eurosport, sky or the BBC covered it for the UK

Sky wouldnt be in charge of the cameras etc as that is the responsibility of the host broadcaster.

Generally the camera work in the Tour de France is pretty good anyway - Would be good see on bike cameras like they have in the Tour of California, but other than that i cant think how they would improve it bar adding a few on screen graphics (would like to see things like percentage gradiant when going up a climb etc)

yes it is down to the host broadcaster - but when sky team up with host broadcaster they normally get them to up their game as they have done in other sporting arena's
