IIRC Rain-X only works when traveling at 30mph plus and the faster the speed the better.

I live with this issue also and have yet to find a suitable solution to the problem. The peak on my lid does very little to help and I usually end up looking over the top of my specs when it rains. I am fortunate in that that the world just looks a little less sharp without my specs but it still causes headaches after a long ride. Might try the baseball cap idea (remembering to spray it with Nikwax 1st)

Okay, so there IS a problem. We all know that the hardest part of innovation is finding the problem that needs to be solved. Yes, we all know about contact lenses.. but they are not for everyone. I will be contemplating how to fix this problem..

Long-peaked cap under helmet worked for me during a very wet Glasgow-Edinburgh 51 miler last year. Not perfect but remarkably effective - and it was fair stoatin'

Looked marginally better than the glasses

Yep, cotton peaked cap like the pro's wear, works for me.

If you fix it - do let me know.

I got soaked today, with cycling glasses and inserts - so 4 panes for the water to stick to. Washing Up liquid to clean the lense and then rinse off is enough to stop fogging - you just have to live with the rest. I use rain-x on the car side and rear window (saloon - no wiper) and you have to be going some for it to work effectively, although, it does stop big globules building up, and makes all round vision better - not sure how it would work on sports glasses or ordinary ones - don't use if you have one pair of glasses..please !

Right, I've been inside an old CD player and I have managed to identify the laser component. Trying to get some electricity to it now.. wish me luck. I'll let you know how I get on.

I'm pretty sure that if you do that you'll end up seeing the world through a prism.
you want something to make the raindrops bead on your specs so they'll then roll off. Just use some polish with wax in. Always worked on my motorbike helmet, and cheaper than rainx.

Then I shall happily stand corrected. I still think I shall pass though just in case, as I only own one pair of glasses.

I never did.
