Not enough time to invent a solution

Surely someone must have invented a solution for those who wear glasses (spectacles) in the rain on their bikes? Has anyone seen any products geared towards helping this vast number of cyclists with wet specs? I was thinking of some kind of miniature clip-on warm air blower, some kind of see through mesh that would deflect the water, clip on wipers, tear offs like Formula 1...

Long-peaked cap under helmet worked for me during a very wet Glasgow-Edinburgh 51 miler last year. Not perfect but remarkably effective - and it was fair stoatin'

Looked marginally better than the glasses

Either a baseball cap, or a cycling hat with a peak - or disposable contacts. Those who can't get on with regular ones rarely struggle with these.

I don't see why not. It's just a treatment that that you wipe on and makes the water bead off. I use it on the visor of my (car) racing helmet. Might have to have a fair pace going though before it becomes effective...?

The only thing I'd be worried about is that some specs have an anti-scratch coating on. What effect, if any, would applying Rain-x to specs that already have a coating on them.

I have a similar product to Rain-x, and it passed the provisional test (water from the tap ) very well.

As jasper says, you may need to have warp factor 5 for it to be effective.

Do both sides of the lens, but let it dry before wearing: I don't know what harm the solution or the vapour would do to the eye!
