Thanks for the tip. I used Strava for the first time today. Observations are that the viewer is small so an old fart like me cant clearly see what speed etc under its cover and its in km so an old fart can't work out in old money how far he's been! Another thing is I didn't realise it immediately compares you on part of your route to other riders hence on one segment I found I was the 450th fastest. Depressing until I remembered that two lorries got stuck on the bridge and I sat watching for a couple of minutes.haha yeah just off riverside the fun loop is up ketts hill round the side then bomb down gas hill at 40+ but theres currently road works, you ride with a club?

haha you change the strava settings to read in mph etc its easier to set up using the website then just use the app as a gps tracker

I don't think it does if you're in a segment, it keeps on ticking away the cheeky minx. If you're off a segment it will auto-pause.Sorry, Strava takes out your stopped time..... you were 450th....
@ivygrivy the beauty of that is that next time you do the segment you will almost certainly be much quicker and will be able to give yourself a massive pat on the back for flying up the leader board
