A big thank you to Iceni Velo who didn't seem to mind anyone joining their peleton. Lots of fun cruising along at such speeds in a big group. Was on for around 4:45 but bonked badly at 75 miles and had to stop for lots of water! Crawled in at 5:16 but managed 3 KOM's on Strava (well the bits my useless phone picks up!) until later in the day when otehrs posted their times!!

Finished - and felt great - 7:34 rolling time - with 20 min stops at 34 and 67 miles ( 100 miles ) - covered myself with 30 factor cream before setting off - didnt even get a tan - when i took my watch off i couldnt tell where it had been.
At 72 yrs i am quite pleased with that time - i knocked 40 mins of my rolling time and 1hr-3mins off my rest time from last year.
by the way at the compulsory stop i cycled in - had a pee - and cycled straight out.
I had 7 pint of bitter after at the Wig and Pen.

1974 and in perfect nick, wasn't it? Bootiful. If I only knew how to, (attempted many times and failed), I'd post the picture I took.

yes, I heard that the late finishers didn't get free beer, as the vouchers ran out, so it looks like a set number had been offered by Adnams as part of the sponsorship deal - nice touch though!
