I’m dubious about how much people are seeing with their actual eyes! Our phones here make it look good. Our eyes have seen NOTHING!

Can see nothing by eye but a glow in the sky. Camera captures this tho'

They were highly visible here to the naked eye, changing from what looked like a red cloud, to beams of light, then swirling back to a thicker cloud type

Here it's really visible with the naked eye, but then again, I'm in the middle of the fens with no light pollution whatsoever.

I can see with my eyes and if I take my glasses off its even better.
Not as good as a few months ago...

The camera does make it (much) better, though it is truly amazing

I stuck a couple of pics in another thread.
Here's another.

Very visible to the naked eye. Nothing like on TV from the top of Norway, but far better than i expected from down here.

All but one of my pics were 6 second exposures on the phone (hand held). They look more colourful than to the naked eye, but not dramatically so.



My son took some dslr pics, so will share the best of those tomorrow

Still going here, but nowhere near as intense as it was three hours ago. Still visible to the naked eye, but barely. Did a bunch of 30 sec exposures (dslr, timer, tripod) and I'll have a look at those tomorrow.

I have to open the window in order to look right, as said window faces NW.
