I don't think cyclists are hated because of that video, but that video gives ammo to those who hate.

Putting other people in danger is completely stupid.

I don't believe cyclists are hated and always wonder why people suggest we are? However the two riders involved in this video are utter dick heads and shouldn't be allowed near a road of any sort in any form of transport they control. They give all cyclists a very bad name. That video had me flinching at several points.

Some folks definitely hate us. Even on my local town Facebook page, on the odd occasion anyone brings up something about cyclists the amount of people who pile in with the usual complaints is sadly normal now. I don’t even get involved as it’s not worth increasing the blood pressure.

Because of the anti cycling attitude that already exists, this just pours fuel on to the fire, yet nobody so much as raises an eyebrow about all the deaths caused by motorists in their vehicles
Edit: Don't forget that there are 2 idiots involved in this as organ donor 2 is filming organ donor 1, and a busy city centre is no place for a fixie, unless your tired of life imho

Well I made this exact point on a couple of other threads on this forum, that bad cycling does indeed exist and that some cyclists are a danger to themselves and others.

For some reason I was accused of being a car sympathiser and I had my motives questioned for why I was on a cycling forum.

I do think that the actions of a few do get rest of us labelled as "lycra louts who jump red lights etc".

Yes, we know that cars etc cause way more accidents and deaths etc than cyclists but it's also pretty obvious there are cyclists on the roads who are a menace. *

And yet no one gets hurt by all these cycling menaces.
It's almost as if they're not a danger. At all.

That's not strictly true though. It's a rare occurance but pedestriaians have been injured and very rarely killed by cyclists.

I'll add, when I see videos like above, my first thought is I fear for the cyclist not others. That doesn't though negate what an absolute idiot said cyclist is and a potential danger to others.
