Thanks, for the advice.

Whilst I am thinking about it, is there any essential kit I need that I have not thought of.

I have:

Lights
Helmet
Bright Jacket
Padded shorts
Gloves
Lock
Puntcure Repair
Pump

Cheers in advance.

Tyre levers?
A 2nd bike  (tis only amatter of time)

I had quite a bit of botttom pain when I first started along with some numbness but now after about 1400 miles it is a lot better and I only really feel it at all after about 30-40 miles.
I guess my answer is to put the miles in and it will get better (assuming your set up is good as previously mentioned)

Dont know if your allready doing this but if you stand up now and then either to power up a hill or while coasting down it gives your rear end a bit of a break .

Make sure you have the right tools to change a tube as its inevitable you will need to sooner or later.
