New Wheels Suggestions

Handbuilts are deffo the way to go if you want something with 32 or 36 spokes, maybe even 28.
I've built all my own for the last couple of years and would always recommend that route.... they really don't fall apart !

My latest (and favouritest) pair on the best bike are on Hope Pro 3 hubs so if I was after a lower spoke count wheelset I'd be looking at adding the Hope Hoops Pro3 RS-SP 3.0 to my list of possibles. Do check you like the sound of the freehub first though. Think "angry bees" on high speed descents.

Have you thought about hand builts? I've just had a set made to my spec. Should be able to get someting pretty good for that kind of money.

Do any of you kind people know of any decent wheelbulders/links, thinking of going down this route - seem to remember a post from waybackwhen which recommended a guy from York

David Hunt built mine. Dynamo front hub. Only has them a few weeks, but pretty pleased so far. He was recommended to me by others from this parish. I'll PM you his contact details when I'm at my PC. He only builds during the 'season' so don't leave it too long.

Well I made up my mind and went for the Mavic Elites. Ordered them for a few pence under £400 with a free wheel bag. Nearly went for the SLs but couldn’t see spending the extra £200 would be worth it.
