New Velorbis from Luv Handles

Thought I'd put my experience of getting a new bike from Luv Handles on here, seeing as there's little information about them on the internets. It seems they've had a market stall on Northcote Road for a while and call themselves a "hot and exclusive bike boutique"

they're local to me and I like the sound of what their doing.

Their website is very cycle chic so seeing as I'm a not very chic middle aged bloke I'm not their target market but anyway, I spoke to Mercedes who was helpful, enthusiastic and seemed to know about the bikes pretty well.
I've had a black Velorbis for nearly 4 years which I've found to be a fantastic bike, so fancying a nice new shiney silver one I've already sold off my old one and today put in an order for a scrap deluxe like this one:

Delivery is supposed to be in 4 to 8 weeks, I'll post some updates when I have more to post.

I do like the look of the Scrap Deluxe. Which hub gear option did you go for?

With hindsight I might have been better off with one of those rather than the Pashley - I'll have to replace the front wheel to get a hub dynamo and by the time I've bought a lamp or two to go with it will end up having paid a similar amount of money. I love the SA drum brakes - almost zero maintenance and work just as ok in the wet as in the dry.

Its arrived already today

with the 5 speed SA wide range hub, cant say I noticed much difference over the old 5 speed hub except it rides slightly smoother but the (new) gear changing isn't so good, hopefully as it wears in it will improve.

Luv handles is a great place, they have a real shop but without a highstreet frontage... they were really nice to buy from... some new photos, I love the cut out name plate on the rack:
