New tyres time

I don’t think I’ve ever yet killed a tube in a repairable way! I also have more valve problems, splits around the valves (some ham fisted snapped or bent valves, and partly Continental crap flying valve cores!!)

I don’t think I’ve spent more than £20 on a tyre, other than the horrible Marathon pluses (no punctures but they were so horrid to ride, I’d rather have the odd puncture)

You’ve never bought tires surely? Just bikes with them on.

You won't notice any difference between the 23's and 25's.
If you need more comfort then inflate them to less PSI.

That’s where the wider types come in handy, by allowing an even lower pressure.

I've tried Continental Ultra Sport II's and really like them, and can be had for £20 a pair at Ribble.

I can see that this is about road tyres, but just a for Continental, i'm running their Race Kings 2.2 up to the maximum psi for my Mavic wheel rims, which is 3.5bar 50psi for the roads....................and I don't suffer too many punctures ...........................put the new tyres on last week..........to replace the old ones which are the same....
