After having the rubinos now for about seven weeks and no punctures i was beginning to think that these tyres are ok but yesterday might have changed my mind.
Had done about 10 miles and as i turned into a road the bike twitched but i managed to stay in control,i checked the tyres but they were ok(i was running on 115 rear 110 front).About 3 miles later i stopped at a main road junction and then turned right when it was clear and that's when the bike just went under me and i was left in the middle of the road and i was lucky there were no cars about. The result was a sore wrist some grazing on my leg, torn glove and when i picked the bike up and checked it the piece of alloy holding the rear derailleur to the chainstay had snapped.Anyway to cut a long story short i took it back to the lbs where i bought it and they said it's supposed to break to stop doing more damage and i should have the bike back by the end of the week.
Although the roads could have been a bit greasy there's no way this should have happened and i've now got no faith in these tyres in winter conditions.I will now be looking at tyres with better grip even if they are more expensive.
