Just a quick update ... Evans very kindly replaced my tyre but only after checking my wheel hub over for any signs of defect such as spokes poking through. I've stuck to the 23,s and so far they have been fine. I must say the Conti,s are amazing, speed wise they seem to fly and the ride is a wee bit bumpy but long as you wear gloves it's cool. I would seriously recommend these tyres to anybody.....

I used the GP 4000s's for the first time on the Cheshire Cat and they behaved perfectly. Having done a commute this week on them they've been fine for Leeds' roads whilst the Ultremo ZX's cut up all over.

Much happier with these.

Gotta agree with you there DC, been commuting with the 4000s all week and they are superb. I liked the ZX,s but the Conti,s are a cut above IMHO.
