Brought myself a cheap single speed trailer, only test ridden it so far, should make a useful addition to my load carrying.

Nice. In hindsight I wish I'd bought a monowheel rather than the bulky square one I did but it is still useful.

I found I had to keep speed down with the monowheel as it would start to fishtail at over 10 or 12 mph with any thing over about 10Kg.
I did quite a bit of touring with this rig.
It did depend on the bike to some extent and while any light bike was dodgy a MB with different geometry was steadier.

I have heard they can be a bit twitchy, on my test ride I had about 15 kg of fire wood in the bag and seemed ok on down hills but that's just a short test ride so I will watch out for that. I
Iike the way it's no wider than the bike and follows the bike nicely missing potholes along with the bike.

Yours looks identical to my Edinburgh Cycles BOB Yak copy. Like Numbnuts above, I've never had any probems towing, but if you get much weight in it, it can take some manhandling if it starts to lean when you're stationary/not on the bike - that sidestand might not be enough to keep it upright.
I converted a child trailer for loadbearing, and it is obviously much more stable, but too easy to hit kerbs whilst cornering and too wide for riding offroad or narrow cycleways - single wheel is better overall IMO.

That's a good load alright, was there any issues with trailer regarding the ferry, it would be great to take the bike/trailer combo on a train but I doubt that's possible .

I've seen trailers on ferries to the Hebrides a few times and they take them no problem - they are more of a pain for other cyclists as they don't fit into the spaces as easily.

As for trains, as a last resort you could fold it down and carry it on with the holdall so the bike fits in the bike area - it folds down pretty quickly and fairly small, more so if you lose the mudguard.

The folding of these trailers is a good point with them if a bit of a faff but it is possible.
Good with the ferries though 👍
