Picked up my Cube LTD today (is 2nd hand but had never been used) Took it for a quick spin down the tow path (foot is still a bit sore from my off a couple of weeks ago) and wow, it feels so much better that my old Specialized Hardrock, gear changes are crisp, lots of feel in the brakes and it feels so much more planted. Looking forward to getting many miles under its wheels.

Good choice! I enjoyed mine, it was the perfect bridleway bike, well made and well equipped.

Pics, we gotta have pics!

Thanks. Started off looking for an Acid, but then got a bonus from work so decided to use some of that and upgraded to the LTD. Think the Cube has a bit of a quirky style, great kit and the riding position felt so comfortable (almost natural).

Glad you like it. I'm a bit less enchanted with my Ltd Pro. It was an ebay purchase, a slightly used bike that I bought with the intention of using it as my commute bike, reason being the air forks on my original commute bike sprung a leak and it was not much miore £££ to buy it than for a set of new forks.

My main disappointment with it is the weight - it has all the buzz words like "race ready" written over it but it is pretty damn heavy at a smidge under 13 kg  0.7 ks more than the bike it was meant to replace - wheels are damn heavy plus the longer travel fork adds to its lardiness.

The weight comes from the Deore crankset and the wheels. Mine was 11kg when I stripped it down to sell it, but then the only original thing left was the frame, in true Trigger's broom style. ^_^

Nice choice :becool: I've had mine since 2008. In that time I've changed the saddle (SDG BelAir), pedals (Shimano M647)and forks (Reba Race)

The 'ready for race' supposedly refers to the frame geometry rather than the components. Whether that's true or not, I really don't care, they are still great bikes for the money
