Hi all,

I'm new to cycling and I'm looking at getting a GPS unit, I don't really want to spend to much have been looking at the garmin edge 200 and strada, any info would be much appreciated.

If you do not want to fork out for a dedicated gps computer then if you have a smartphone you can find plenty of apps .

Hi Julie and welcome to Cycle Chat!
As @cyberknight said above, the Strava app on your smartphone will work perfectly if you are not planning more than 5/6 hours rides. I found it drains the batteries quite quickly on my HT Desire.
Eventually got myself a Garmin Edge 200, love it, never get lost again, plus it uploads easily to all popular tracking sites ... and I can read the screen without reading glasses :rolleyes:

Hello :welcome: to the forum, I use apps on my iPhone at the moment and that works well but I will be upgrading to a garmin edge 200 at some point because of the drainage on my phone battery.
