Hi all,

New to cycle chat, been floating around on bikeforums.net for a while but it was all too US based.

I was previously riding an old Tensor Lazer Custom around 30 years old but around 3 weeks ago i took delivery of a Dawes Giro 300 and have made an effort to ride most days. What a difference it makes to ride a new bike thats only 2/3 the weight of what i was used to!

Im based around the Kinross-shire area if anyone knows where that is.

Aye, we went through it on Saturday.

Take a look in the road ride, audax & sportive forum for a discussion of the ride.

You may also want to take a look at the informal CC ride forum where a regular central Scotland ride gets organized. I have yet to join one being a n00b myself.

Yep, really quite hilly. For me to head South without going well out of the way ive got to go over the Cliesh hills which can be a real bugger a times as they just seem to have a vertical incline. The rest of the terrain is fairly hilly but makes you appreciate the flats so much more.

Ah, i was heading South over the Hills on Friday - did a loop from Milnathort to Torryburn, along the coastal path to Rosyth then back up through Dunfermline.

Now that i think about it, on Sunday, i passed a group of cyclists, going through Balgeddie on the East side of Loch Leven...wasnt you was it?

Not me. On Sunday I was at home recovering. Didn't get out at all.
