Mrs OTD has given the green light for new pedals and shoes. She thinks they are a necessity for riding the bike. (Not arguing with her!)
She also suggests that trackie bottoms billowing in the wind are not the done thing on a road bike, especially as spring is due upon us. (again, no hint of an argument)
Over to the experienced members!
What would you recommend as good choices for pedals and shoes? Bear in mind I'm a tight ar$ed Yorkie, I don't want to spend oodles on shoes!
Would it be safe to say the Shimano M520's are a good pedal choice? Obviously I'm considering the MTB shoe route as I would need to be able to walk about easily in the shoes as well. Would be nice to get MTB type shoes that have a resemblance to road shoes (if you get me!)
