Mini review of said knock off/Chinese Zecto's.
They arrived in about 3 weeks from order. Packaging looks good and they have similar contents with a rubber strap, short mini USB cable and the light itself.
Genuine Zecto is on the right with a red bezzle. First impressions are good. They are very alike although the copy doesn't feel as solid. The bezzle on the copy is a not as nice, the hook for the rubber strap is not as well finished and is shallower than the original. This may cause them to drop off if the going gets bumpy but is doubtful. The genuine Zecto has its USB port at the bottom (rather than on the side) which will make less susceptible to water ingress. Both units have charge indicator lights although the non gen lights all seem to be red as opposed to the genuine light which has a red, yellow, green and blue light for charge indication. The on off button feels more rugged in the genuine light. Genuine unit is CE marked.
The copy has less flashing options with either on full, on low, slow flash and a quicker double flash. Hold 4 seconds gives and SOS flash signal. The genuine light has six modes, including three different 'flash' patterns (all at 10 lumens, ranging from about three to four hours claimed battery life), constant 'economy' (five lumens, four hours), constant 'blast' (10 lumens, 2:45) and 'daytime' – a very bright double flash (20 lumens, seven hours) -
Spread of light is better on the genuine light due to the better optics and diffused lense. Although both are bright. The genuine light seems to have a bright hot spot in the middle

All in all the genuine light is a better piece of kit but is it worth 5 times the amount? Probably not.
