New Purchase...where to take it?

Just thought I would let you know that I finally made a decision and purchased my new MTB last weekend; a Specialized Rockhopper 2012 from Gratham Cycles. Took it out yesterday and what a difference to the cheapo Halfords bike I was using.

Is there some sort of trail directory available? I have googled trails and have found the Chicksands Bike Park and Woburn Sands trails. Anyone else know local to Bedfordshire which would be good to test out the bike for a beginner? A friend of mine has suggested we go to Thetford; but I want to practice before hand a bit close to home.

Hi, check out the www.sillygrin.co.uk forum, they have rides around your area, some members even live in/near Potton.

No need to waste time driving to trail centres; just nip to the shops and buy one of these for the price of three beers:

Open it and marvel at all the dashed green lines, which are bridleways just waiting to be explored. Also of course yellow minor roads and white unclassified roads and lanes.

.... be sure to lock that bike while you're in the shop though!
