I know we're only half way through the year but does any one know when the new 2012 models might be released and is it worth hanging on a couple of months to get 2011 models at a discount?

I think anytime from now till September the new 2012 ranges will start to be rolled out, but each company varies slightly. I already started to see discounted Treks and Specialized 2011 models on Evans Cycles

I haven't bought a new bike for a long time, my recent purchase was s/h.

Does anyone actually buy the latest model bike at full price? Seems pointless when you can save pretty large sums buying 'last years' version of the same bike.

Thats what I thought, but at the moment it seems to be some sort of limbo. Took me this long to save up to get the money for my budget and am now thinking I may as well wait another 6,7 or 8 weeks to see if they come down in price.

I saw the specialized Allez have 100 knocked off and the seceteur are now discontinued in Evans, wonder how much they will fall in the coming weeks...?
