Oops - should be Aksium!
I am so pleased with these wheels. I have a Specialized tricross sport and use it for my commute and weekend rides. I decided after a winter of the original wheels and marathon plus tyres that the sun seems to have come out so time for something a little faster. I took off the mudguards, rack and treated myself to a new drive chain and cassette with the wheels that have Schwalbe Ulteremo R1 tyres.

I went out for a quick 15 miler, managed to increase my average speed by at least 2 mph and that was just doing a spontaneous route! Am going to see how I get on with the usual commute and weekend leisure runs.

It is sooo much faster and sounds great.

Does anybody else have these?

I have set - currently shod in Pro Race 3s. Nice, robust wheels, they are my winter wheels. My summer wheels are Mavic Carbone SLRs.

You may find that the greatest increase in your speed is due to the removal of racks etc. + the Schwalbe tyres - the wheels will help a little as well but it's an accumuation of effects rather than just the wheels themselves.

I have a set on my Ribble. Agree with the noise when you hit around 40mph. You know you are going fast when the whistling starts.
Time to rain on the parade.

The rim on my rear Aksium cracked after about 5000 miles

tricross has a 135mm rear dropout and road wheels including mavic aksiums are 130mm oln, so not ideal. you need a 700c rim with 135mm oln rear hub, most cyclocross wheels come in these dimensions.
