I live in High Barnes, I know Roker Bath Road and I also remember the 70`s. Am I getting old or what (60) in April, where did the time go.

Fine age - you're just maturing nicely - far too many kiddies around

I'm 60 in September. I was at the Poly in Sunderland 75 - 78. Used to cycle to Durham at the weekend with a mate. Went to the "Dome Fest" a couple of times. Or we would go up to Ocean Road, South Shields for a curry at night. Went into Newcastle one night to see a band he knew in a pub. Loved it up there.
I lived in several places but spent most time in Roker just a hundred yards from Roker Park.

I know the area around Roker Park well, I used to go to to the Fulwell End and cheer the lads on. I know better than to do that now. I also went to the Mecca and see bands there. It's pulled down now. A great venue I still miss it.
