Hi, I am new here, it has been some years since I have done any biking. I always wanted to get back into it with a good quality bike. I was thinking of a hybrid bike. I am 6' tall. I most often buy used. At our local bike shop there is a 5 year old Lapierre tecnic 500 for $450. Looks to be in good shape. I was looking for advice on this bike, or should I look at something different? thanks so much for any advice. dan in Pa

As far as I know,they are pretty good.

EDIT -Just read the link and it does not bode well for the Tecnic.
Strange really,as I have not heard of these problems from the owner reports elsewhere.
But to err on the safe side,give it a miss.
