Hi,

I don't know if this is the right section, but I have a doubt about the new helmet I bought.
I got it yesterday and when I checked it I saw that there are small imperfections.
You can see from the photo one of these. I bought this from Amazon, so I can send it back but it will take a while.

What do you think? Is this normal and I can safely use it or should I return it?

Thanks

Pier

If you are not happy with it, send it back, simple.
It's not for people on here to say if it's safe or not.

I just wanted to have some opinions. Obviously I'm going to return it if I'm not satisfied.
The old helmet does not have these kind of imperfections, that's why I was asking.
I think I'm going to keep it, my project is almost over and I need a new helmet

What make is it? How much was it? Specialized meet a better safety standard than other brands in eu. Maybe the little holes are simply the nature of polystyrene

I had 2 similar in my Giro Atmos so I emailed Giro to query. They responded to say not to worry, they were just moulding imperfections and didn't compromise the helmet. But they wanted to replace it anyway. They contacted the UK distributor (then Madison, maybe it still is) and I had a new helmet delivered to me. It took around 3 weeks from my initial contact.

It's a Giro Savant, not the cheapest one but not the most expensive one as well.
As said, I had only one previously from Decathlon and never had these holes. That was my only concern.

Thanks yello. Nice to know that Giro have this nice customer service (I have used Giro also for snowboard equipment).
I'll maybe contact Giro directly (Amazon has only a return option) and see what they can do, but I'll use it anyway.

Thanks all for the inputs!

I have a Bell and it has a couple of similar little 'holes' - not going to make any difference in my opinion.
