Never very happy with the braking on this- squeally at times, also sounded and felt like canti brakes that had worn down to the metal. Bought some nice ceramic pads a while ago and finally fitted them at the weekend (first time, didn't take long- but I couldn't fit them in at first until I figured out the adjuster for the inner pad).

Much better today, nice and smooth. Quiet so far.

Put my Snow Stud tyre on the old wheel, just need to fit a disc to it. Looks like the tyre will fit under the mudguard but haven't tested it yet.

Took me ages to get around to this but it does fit! good because I might need to get rid of the old 'cross bike (snow bike) to make space.

One year of use, 3600 miles. Transmission- all of it- very worn. All replaced together. Now has a Thorn chainring and outer chainguard, new chain and a Sturmey freeweel. A clicky one- we'll see how I get on with that.
