The workmanship on the lettering is a poor job when you compare to genuine Kmc chains.

There are so many fakes about I would rather bite the bullet and just buy from Decathlon or my LBS.

There are fake chains out there. I bought some 9-speed supposedly "Shimano 105" chains on ebay and I don't think they are the real Shimano product. They work kind of OK, but seem quicker to develop rust and they run less smoothly than usual.

Cheers all; chain went back as I wasn't happy with it.. seller seemed happy to take it back for what that's worth.

Will replace it with one from a reputable dealer..
