Being quite new to this malarky and riding a 15 year old Trek Hybrid since last summer I have gone a bit bonkers and bought a new Ribble CR1. No plans at all of becoming a road warrier so gone for a jack of all trades. Should be ready in two weeks, so when I get back from the Trans Pennine Trail on May 14 I will be either champing at the bit for a lighter smoother experience or selling it. Watch this space.
Upped the spec a little, Tiagra groupset and Mavic wheels, chunkier handlebars and can't do without a set of mudguards ! Comes in a little under £800.
I tried sorting it out online with the help of an experienced rider but we were both stuck on the wheel/tyre combos on offer. As Preston is not too far from Sunny Radcliffe we popped over today and found the chaps over there very knowledgable and friendly.
