Hello folks I'm new on here, my name is lee.
I've just bought a focus cayo evo 3.0 2014 model and when I'm out on it, when I put the power down its like a creaking noise at the crank every revolution, any suggestions to why it's doing it, maybe because it's not broke in yet? Any help would be appreciated . Thanks

Seat pin or saddle rails is a couple of the most common noises. The noise travels so may sound like it is coming from elsewhere. Isolate by standing.

not saying it is a definite but could the mechanic who assembled it not have put enough grease in bottom bracket (BB) or wheel bearings? often happens with any bike bought from halfords!
Cheers Ed

So, not to sound cheeky in any way here, tighten the seat post and it might stop the creak, sounds strange but I'll try it. I had a bike fit so it might be, funny actually because the bolt that tightens the seat post is facing forward when they are usually at the back if you know what I mean?

I didn't buy it from halfords, I bought it from wheelbase cycles in Kendal. Anyone else had a problem from there? It's two hours away from where I live so I don't really want to go all the way back

easy enough job to apply grease your self or go to your Local Bike Shop (LBS)
any mechanic can have a bad day and forget to put enough grease in or could be scraping the rest out the bottom of the tin rather than opening a new tin on that bike

It is a possible cause it was in my case ! I also tightend the saddle bolt also bothwhere a little loose and it did stop the problem for me.I don't know the lbs you mention but I feel sure that if you need to get them to help you out if they have a good reputation then it should be no problem.
