Alrighty,
I've just signed up here and was looking for some advice.
I've been commuting for a few years and have recently take the notion to cycling a bit more seriously - I'd like to get a bit fitter and do sportives.
Over the past few weeks I've been doing a few routes around Glasgow ranging from 20 - 70 miles on my single speed. Its an old but immaculate Ribble track frame that is kitted out with the clamp on Dia Compe brakes. Its been good fun and I'm no slouch but the time has come to buy a proper road bike and leave the big single for posing around town and generally showing off my coolnesstidity.
My budget's around the grand mark.
I've been looking at a few, Cannondale CAAD 8 105, Giant Defy 1 105 and I found this Moda Rubato that says its got Ultegra bits.

I'm 6' and weigh 15 stone.
Any advice is much appreciated.
