New arrival no. 1 - a 1989 Dawes Impulse - SOLD

I bought this on impulse given it had no real details and collected it today (seller's photo only):

It's a 1989 Dawes Impulse, 21" frame with 700c wheels. Tubing is 531 butted with 531 forks. The tyres were flat but now hold air. It's got a full Shimano Exage Action groupset including pedals. Paintwork's OK with a few minor marks but nothing major on first check.

It'll need new brake hoods, bar tape, cables and chain but otherwise appears sound. Possibly a different bottom bracket will help plus re-greasing everything.

Plans? Erm ... leave that with me.

Looks more like a 24" frame to me.

I did wonder that. At some point I'll measure it - and if it's too big the decision about whether to keep or not is made for me.
