thanks for everyones input. i just picked up a nearly new allez sport 2010 with tiagra upgrade and a few other niceties for a bargain. pick it up thurs, will post how it goes shortly. sore a**e here i come!!

Nice one. I've the same saddle as the Allez Sport on both of my Spesh bikes, and have never had a problem with the sore bum.

If they're the All Condition Sport ones I got with my Secteur you may want to order some better ones now ward-c.I had 4 you know whats in the 1st 2 weeks!!!
Sounds like you've got a nice bike there, with the upgrade the icing on the cake,happy riding.

Remember to keep the tyres pumped up even the best tyres can't stop snake bites but keeping them hard helps.
