I do actually like Neil Diamond a lot, mainly because his cool persona is greater than the sum of his songs.

You know what I mean, he comes across like he'd be equally at home on a night out with some mexican bandits as with some boy racers from hertfordshire

the back end of Witchita Lineman has my absolute favourite bit of drumming....now that is sad.

What strikes me about Neil Diamond, Jimmy Webb and Jackson Browne was that they wrote their best songs in their late teens.

Anyone who can make a hit song out of traffic noise deserves some kind of ,erm, praise
