Closest Decathlon is Manchester

Yes compression stockings are expensive, I looked some months ago and they were £60 from the manufacturer and that's only for one pair, and I want two, then I can wear one pair while washing the others...........I dare not wear the calf support compresson braces and others that don't cover my feet, because no doubt my feet will swell.

I think I'll stay with flat pedals for now. Might try clips much later.
Check out the sales on Halfords/ cycle republic sites

I don’t do bibs but recently I’ve been wearing...altura winter cruisers over padded shorts/knickers/tights depending on temps (7-10/4-7/less than 4 Deg)

Cycle Republic have these in XXL in sale (Altura are more generous than most brands)

They did have some xxl bib tights but sold out
You could try local halfords for bargain rail. Never know
There was a recent post on FDX @cyberknight Didn't rate at all

A mate went to one in the Halifax branch a couple of days ago. He showed me a jersey that he had just bought, which had a £12 sale price tag on it. I said that it seemed a good deal for £12 and he laughed - they were now clearing them at £5!
And?

And (spelling it out in tedious detail, since it apparently wasn't as bleedin' obvious as I thought it was!)...

... what a good suggestion by @vickster - Halfords have some real bargains at the moment!

I have an Evans close by but I'm not going because of anxiety.

I'll try Halfords and SportsDirect tomorrow.

Edit: I do hate looking at new clothing because there's so many combinations you can wear. It confuses the hell out of me :/
