I was riding a Ridgeback Supernova (flat bar), but since it has been gubbed in an rtc I now have to find a new bike, my only must is that it needs to be able to take mudguards and rack.
I am leaning towards going for a road bike rather than a hybrid this time as I want to improve my average mph with the hope of taking a slightly longer route to work, at the minute its 11 miles each way but want to up to 15 miles without costing too much extra time on the road.
Price isn't a major limiting factor as i am expecting a decent injury claim from the driver! So i would consider anything up to 2.5k, but it seems this won't be a issue as most bikes at that price don't allow for the rack and mudguards.
