I have an exposure max d front light and just recently it has started to slip down when I'm on a rough road surface. I've tried to tighten it up, using the black and red strips of rubber supplied by the manufacturer but to no avail. It's a great front light which I've used for 2 years.

Can anyone offer any ideas on how to secure this better?

Is it just a case of the bracket not being tight enough, due to too small diameter handlebars? If so, pad them out with a strip or two of old inner tube, secured with insulating tape.

Buy some stick on velcro and place abit on the top of the bars and one under the light so it sits flat, totally, stops them slipping down on bumpy roads

mine hangs under the bars and is rock solid, it's a metal fitting I assume, mine is, and I suspect mine used inner tube

the metal pin that locks it is another matter, that slowly wears from vibration over a couple of years, they changed mine for free last time around

mine is the two led race
