I'm nearing the end of my flat bar road bike build and one of the last things is.
What looks better right hand front cable routing or left hand front cable routing as I have to renew one of the hydraulic cables now's the time to switch too left or right hand levers.

Cheers

What looks better
The question has nothing to do with what 'we always do in UK' @lpretro1 . The OP has specified his brakes are hydraulics: "one of the hydraulic cables".
My answer/opinion was based on the aesthetics of brake 'control line' (I too have a struggle with 'hose' or 'pipe') curvature (ie down to the left side mounted disk from the lever), though I acknowledge (and recognised when I made my earlier comment) that this matters little for the operation of hydraulics.
Sheldon's take linked below (scroll down about half way):

Good reading..
I have only ever had left hand front braking because I live in Spain but as that sheldonbrown artical said it seems logical if you are right handed (like me) a right handed front brake looks a better bet.
Plus I will be moving back to the UK in a month or two?

reason why I said it was uk 'convention' is quite simply if he puts it the other way round and then swaps to another bike set up for uk and grabs a handful of brake it can be problematic - I have seen it happen I can assure you. But being as how he has now said he's used to the other way round as he lives in Spain it might be better fro him to stick with that - no hard and fast rules

Here's where I'm at..

We have just bought a house back in Kent and wont be long before we move back to the UK full time, I have a Trek Superfly 5 and a Trek Ex-caliber 8 as mtb's and a Giant TCR Pro 1 as my race bike all UK spec in Kent where we will live. I'm in the process of building a flatbar road bike ( Caad 10 Disc Frame) as my hybrid.

Over here in Malaga I have a Giant Defy Advanced carbon ( red and white one ) as my do it all and a Trek Emonda SL 8 Dura Ace as my race bike, but when we move back I wont be needing two race bikes so I will get rid of the Trek Emonda SL 8 and keep the Pro 1 as it rides better for me and use the Defy as I do over here.
So all I have to do is swop the levers over on the remaining bike to be the same handed as a UK spec bike.
Hope that makes sense lol..

Just one more thing that's related in a way.. I have two sets of brakes M 447 Deore and XT 785 which would be the better, I don't know if the XT ones might be too sharp?

I understand the point of left hand versus right hand drive brakes is to ensure that you have the rear brake available to you whilst indicating to cross the carriageway when you are more likely to brake. Over the years I have had bikes with both systems, but when replacing cables would always switch to the UK.

The Caad 10 frame I have is internal so I have to remove the caliper so now's the time to do it.

XT brakes are way better than Deore ones - better eel to them - I always find the Deore feel a little spongy - they work fine but it's just the feel imo (others may disagree of course!)
