I acquired this freebie earlier today. Clearly it is a Peugeot but my little google didn't throw up a name. Can anyone help?

The chromework is a bit pitted but might come up, other than that it rides ok; think it just needs a service, and that horn sounds like a seagul

My dear wife is dubious about riding it, I think it is cool lol

I'm struggling to pin it down. I've looked through here; http://www.peugeotshow.com/ a lot of nearly's but can't seem to find any 3 speed hub variants.

If the serial number is intact you should be able to date it here; http://cyclespeugeot.com/ModelID.html
Tell the wife I said it's cool too and she should ride it with her head held high :bicycle:

Yeah same I kept finding them with derailleurs or singlespeed  I'll have a look for S/N when I clean it up. I had a look on the bottom bracket and there was something there but it could be a postcode stamp

How about something Norse? The Northlanders used to name their weapons, so we could apply that to bikes.

26 years old and still rides lovely. If it were the blokey version I'd ride it myself

edit: that sounds worse reading it back than it did when I typed it
