That was my suggestion. A friend has one and has welded and rewelded it all over! Then the engine blew up!It says Lancia Integrale at the bottom, is it that ?
Yeah but the business model was “buy this amazing engine and we’ll throw in a body”Italian cars were all rust buckets in the 70s and 80s because of the poor quality russian steel.
My dad had a couple of Alfasuds, a Veloce Sprint, 33, 155. happy days
I had an Inter, and theyre part galvanised so were acrually pretty good. The ones that rust have seen a ditch, followed by dodgy repairs.
But Russian steel was made in huge quantaties. Have you studied the production figures Comrade?Italian cars were all rust buckets in the 70s and 80s because of the poor quality russian steel.
Had a Fiat Mirafiori 131 Estate 16V Twincan it would run circles around the Fords & Vauxhall's in it's day, the bonnet lifted from the screen forward, but as you jacked the car up you could see the shut gap visibly close.I recall putting a Lancia on a wheel free ramp with the driver's door open.
The door wouldn't shut when the car was put back on the ground.
It had all the structural integrity of a jelly.
