Now that MyWhoosh is available on ATV I gave it a go yesterday - joined one of the pacer rides (3.2 W/kg).

First impressions, very good indeed. Plenty of workouts and even has training plans. Clearly a lot of oil money has been spent on this.

I'm a diehard Rouvy rider, but I'll be using a combination of the two going forward, assuming MyWhoosh doesn't disappoint.

I've also given Mywhoosh a go now it is on Apple TV, as my aging laptop couldn't handle it when I've tried previously.

I'm of the opposite opinion to Smithers as I really dislike the graphics and "feel" of the interface. Definitely worth trying whilst it remains free, but I'll be sticking with Rouvy/ Zwift

I use rouvy a fair bit , mostly for racing and although there are less races on the platform , I am lucky that one of the more populated ones suits me fine . there is no cat system on rouvy so you all race together , this means the fast boys will always win but you soon get to know the people you can tussle with and have a good race . I also use to go on the iconic climbs , reminisce for the ones I have rode and to have a rough idea of what to expect on ones I intend to ride in the future , it does what I want it to do though not everybody wants the same thing . I used to use Zwift a fair bit but because of the cat system I couldnt race officially with friends on line , this may however be changed but from what I hear it is leaning towards gaming with buttons to press to give advantage and power ups rather than solely leg and lung power , this combined with the cat system could give you more of a chance to 'win' if thats your objective , it done me for years so I am not ditching it just I like rouvy better . I haven't been on my whoosh for a long time and cant really remember it , but there are lots of other platforms out there to have a bash on the free trial of . this time of year though there may not be many on the smaller platforms

Sadly my Apple TV module is too old to run MyWhoosh, so I'm gonna give it a go using my mobile to see how I get on before committing to a new [ second hand ] ATV model A2169.

I do like the feel of MW and it's £17.99 a month cheaper than Zwift !

Looks like I'm likely to be looking at using my smart trainer again soon. It's a Tacx T2240. I've unfortunately limited garage space since I've stopped virtual training. The PC is there but It's an old 4th generation i5 that ran Zwift OK a few years back. The garage area is full of camping gear now.

So it will be a temporary set up. Choice of Samsung S23 Ultra or an I7 11th generation 16gb laptop (guessing laptop).

I'll only be using it for rehab. Won't be just yet, as my pelvis hasn't knitted together yet.

My Whoosh OK for just spinning the cranks ? Just something to take away the monotonous nature of indoor riding. I intend to be back out in the real world once falling off isn't a risk.

Swinging my leg over is a big risk having found out about the fractures today, after six weeks of being told its OK. I'm literally doing nothing until a scan shows bone knitting.

On old cycling buddy, who rode all year, had a fall some years back, His Xray looked like a Mecano fix it, all over his pelvis, from such a minor fall on ice.

I know riding outside is a great feeling but sometimes the risks are too great. He doesn't ride in winter unless its dry and way above freezing. Too many complications to worry about

Does/Will MyWhoosh support virtual shifting?

(I am going to use a singlespeed bike for turbo duties.)

I can't use it yet as the whole 'loop' (ramus) is fractured - no wonder it feels like I'm sitting on a golf ball. I shall await follow up in April. I know it can be risky, and I've had enough crashes, scars etc, but that's the point of riding. Riding indoors has zero interest, other than maintaining fitness whilst injured. I'll take a look at the window's versions !
