First time I saw that yew tree on the tower at Culmstock, I wondered why they had allowed it to grow there. Well, it turns out that it has been there for at least 250 years, and even possibly dates from the same time as the tower, the 15th century. It's now part of the Historic England listing of the tower.

I will never get bored of cycling alongside the Nantes-to-Brest canal and I will continue to do so as long as my legs let me.

This is from the central section, north of Rohan before the canal swings westward towards Pontivy.
