Weirdness in the sky today.
Can you see what appears to be a long shadow just to the right of the contrail?
It looks vertical, but it appeared to go from behind me, overhead, and in front; spanning several miles, so must have been more of a horizontal line, but it looked weird.
There wasn't anything casting this shadow, so i wonder if it was something like diffraction of light caused by hit jet engine exhaust gases... But then how is the contrail to the left?? Cant remember seeing anything quite so odd before, and it was there for a good minute or so before i took the photo.
Edit: i googled, and it seems it's a contrail shadow. But the shadow looks dead straight, the contrail definitely wasn't!
Edit#2: Seems to be a second shadow between the main shadow and the contrail, if you look towards the bottom of the picture!
