I thought I'd ride up my local mountain before returning to Topsham today. Got up to the top of col de Rousset in 1h25 from my front door this morning. Not a bad view as a reward.

That climb is incredible, and fun!

It's fun both ways... just the right steepness so that it's challenge to ascend it at a decent speed and so that you never feel out of control on the descent. I wish I'd kept count, but I must be around the 100-mark now, I'd have thought.

Col de la Chaudière is a very different beast... still fun, but much harder both as an ascent and descent, both sides of the col.
