Last time I stayed in a hotel whilst cycling the bike ended up in the room.
Arrived late, had been texted the pin code to get in. Nobody around except some shifty types lurking outside hotel.
So took my bike with me.
In the morning tried to explain in my dodgy french to the receptionist.
Oh, everybody does, was the reply.

Premier Inns are OK with bikes in rooms too.

Nice to get upgraded!

A jolly hour to restore my sanity.
A snotty letter from HMRC telling me I owe them nothing started it. I should pay nothing immediately with the enclosed paying in slip or face action.

It is impossible to make it up
