Myself and Mrs TB have been working in the garden most of the weekend. Took this shot of the quiet corner dedicated to my late Great Uncle Joseph, who as a 19 year old Brummie, crossed the Channel on Boxing Day 1916, and in the following Spring, along with 43 of his Battalion mates, gave his life, in what the official Army records state as a " successful reconnaissance of enemy trenches, "only" 44 men killed...." RIP Great Uncle Joesph, and all other men, women and children who have lost their lives in war, and still do so today.
