Nice Andy. From the picture it looks as though the brake levers are 'released' ie: the little pin in the levers has been pushed to one side - to allow for wheel removal etc... I'm putting it down to excitement!

I had my bike for nearly a year before I discovered what the pin was for
I just thought it was folk with bigger hands
