I was on a friends stag night last night and had set the alarm to bid on this on ebay. As soon as I saw it I thought thats the one. I had set myself a limit of £70 but in the end I got it for £94.03.

It's a Raleigh Eclipse Racer and looks new although it was listed as used. Its had a new front wheel fitted for some reason.

The only drawback is that I have to go all the way to Stevenage on the train to collect it.

So now I've finally got my Racer. My new machine. Next thing will be a Vintage Touring bike as a restoration project.

Yesterday in a completely unrelated incident I went to a local car boot sale. I specifically wanted bicycle parts and tools. There were no bicyle parts but I di buy a motley collection of old spanners for a fiver.
I said to the Missus "a man can never have enough spanners or screwdrivers" to which she replied
"but you're a Decorator".

Now ya just can't argue with logic like that can ya...

Vickster, I have pasted the pictures to the post so the bicycle can be seen.

Also to answer your questions yes I am and yes I do. Always highly recommended and affiliated with other trades/men.
