Trip to the doctors for me tomorrow. My knee wasnt hurting as much as it was last week on about the mile I actually managed to do, but I thought its not worth it just for the sake of a ride, so turned round and limped home. So annoying -especially in winter when you have just spent ages gettin all your winter kit on and stuff, only to take it off 10 mins later.

I would hate to see a big ride... well I suppose it was flat - I did 34 miles in total.

Back to the OP ... get to the Doc's and see what they say, and perhaps a visit to a osteopath or the like. My sister is one, but lives too far away for regular visits but she has worked her magic on several of my aches.

I think big rides start at 70miles

I know some one that think 15miles is a big ride. So I got them out for a ride I told them it was just 17miles round trip so they fine with it. But in fact it was 42:evil: and when we got back they where worn out but they could not stop telling me that they loved it:wacko: So I told them and that was it arrr my legs, my back, my feet look what you have done to me:ohmy:

But two weeks later I see them doing the same ride with there BF?????? what is that all about then.

I think what you need is exercise. Don't waste the doctors/osteopaths time and your money until you've ridden daily for a month. Otherwise if you're not prepared to take a little pain you may as well give up now. Life was not meant to be easy.

I think you are wrong on that one I now wish I went back to the doctors and osteopathsas I have been told that a lot of the problems I have now could of been prevented. They will tell you the best way to get you up and running.

So would you keep excersising your knee if you couldn't even put weight on it? Would you do it when your 14, with a hopefully successful track career ahead of you. I thinnk I can wait for it to recover however boring it is, for the sake of an enjoyable/successful career.

I wouldnt train on it if you are unable to put weight on it, because you wouldnt be able to push the pedals:wacko:
If they are aching then i would just take it easy.
Your cleats arent worn are they YC? When mine wore down abit my right knee would stick out when i was standing up. Thats one of the reasons my left leg has more muscle then my right i think:wacko:
Go to the doctors YC, get it checked out. Take it easy on the bike.
Didnt you say you were on the fixed on your turbo in another thread? You didnt by any chance work hard and put alot of resistance on did you, or did you just spin?

Only the pontoons on my cleats seem a bit worn. I am deffo gonna stay off the bike for a bit. And yes I was on the turbo yesterday and it was fine - I kept a cadence of around 90 minimum sometimes going up to aroun 150 for like 15 second sprints.

So your back wheel wuld of been doing about 23/24mph if it was at about a 90 cadence(if i have worked that out correctly, would be around there somewhere)
Did you have clipless on the fixed when you were on the turbo or thos flat pedals with a metal cage with no strap?
If you look in the gap that the plastic bit of your pedal clips in(at the back of the cleat) you might see that the courners of the cleat have rubbed away from clipping in and out. Im about to change mine because they have worn down and i dont like them to wear away too much or you get more float, which i dont like.
