My First Bad Experience

Was looking at a new bike and was interested in one off their frames from DAVE HINDE RACING in Northwich, but had a broken spoke so took it to test their service, got a call a few days later and went to pick it up, can you imagine when they put a round spoke with a silver nipple on a RS31 which has black nipples and flat spokes, i went mad, they said you could paint it black, told him to get a proper one fitted, anyway a week went by so did a surprise visit and hadn't been touched it, so took it from from them and with them saying you wont get better here, got home put the wheel in my bike and no surprise the wheel had a massive wave in it, took it to Rock garden bikes in Tarporley and did a splendid job, back to DHR they offered me to take my wheel and ask for £50 for a new one, what a joke, so anyone interested in them, read the reviews as they are true, as you guessed went elsewhere for a bike.

I just googled Dave Hinde Racing. Oh dear.

I like the one where he offers to sand the 105 logo off someone's mech and write Dura-Ace on in marker pen.

That's the bit .

The thing is, he's probably right. We all know how the marketing machine works, and how everyday cyclists buy pro-level components that will make not a jot of difference to their riding. So maybe he's doing somebody a favour and just trying to save them a bit of money.

The guy is an idiot. He used to regularly snap his tt bikes.

He doesn't give a toss - how is he in business still. I went in once as I was working nearby. The staff were useless. Left without buying anything.

He's still in business because he takes full page adverts in the comic and they won't say a word against him, as they would if they were proper journalists fighting on behalf of their readers.

I did notice there is a for sale board out side the shop when i rolled up, so what's happening there we wonder.
