which brings to mind the story in Private Eye about former Plaid Cymru leader Dafydd Ellis Thomas after he stepped down and was duly enobled. Got into an argument where the other chaps said "if you were a gentleman you'd appologise", Dafydd El replies "well I'm not a gentleman, I'm a farking lord!"
